One of my favorite internet resources is BoardGameGeek. Why? Well, it is the single biggest resource for boardgame information on the web. Say you see a cool game at the store and you want to know more about it before you shell out your hard earned bucks on it. Head to the Geek where you can read reviews, check ratings and look at pictures. There is a TON of information out there.

Now I’ll admit that the site is a little overwhelming to a new user. That’s why the site has a great wiki along with a user generated GeekList of reviewers you can’t afford to miss. Plus, the community there is very cool and willing to help, especially the dedicated forums, or guild, for the Dice Tower Podcast (which I’ll blog about at a later time). Overall, this is a great site!

If you’ve ever wanted to get into hobby gaming, this is your site. And if you are anywhere near Iowa, give me shout, we’ll get together for a game!
