Has it really been two years since I updated this blog? Wow … that’s a long time. I will try and fix that again very soon!

We’re taking it easy this morning. But the trip so far has been a blast. Star Wars Weekends is a total blast and makes me want to go to Celebration VI all the more. Here are a few photos from our first day.

I truly think that the worst part of a trip is waiting at the airport. Alas, we’re here and we should be headed to Memphis in about an hour.

… I’ll be in Walt Disney World! Better yet, I should have ridden Star Tours at least once and hopefully will be sitting down for Fantasmic. I am, to say the least, just a little bit excited.

I’m just about packed and just finishing laundry now. It’s a bit of a challenge to get everything for a five or six day trip in a carry on, but that’s the price you pay when you are cheap like me and don’t want to pay for extra baggage.

Joe is excited as well – he can’t wait and I think he’s looking forward to some “guy time” on the trip as well.

Regardless, I promise to do a better job of catching everyone up once I get back (I suppose I could go back and write a trip report for the cruise last fall, but at this point is it worth it? I know, blogging has been scarce as of late. Life’s been busy. Although it’s about to get busier. As I write this, we’re just a hair over five days until the Joe and I head to beautiful (and hot) Orlando, Florida, and the fantastic Walt Disney World Resort. We’ll be there four days / five nights to partake not only of the awesomeness that is WDW but the coolness of Star Wars Weekends.

Best of all, I hope to blog a bit from my mobile phone throughout the day and if we’re friends on Facebook, you’ll see me a bit there as well. But if you really want to keep up with our exploits on this trip, you’ll want to follow me on twitter. That will be the best way to keep up with what’s going on. If you are at WDW that week as well, send me a DM on Twitter and we’ll see if we can get together.

When it’s all over, Joe and I will record our thoughts and share them with the world on the Mouse Guest Weekly podcast (well, whenever Eric and Dan decide to put us on.). So, even though you may not be able to join us – you will be able to tag along.

So, please keep your hands, arms and legs in the ride vehicle at all times – ’cause we’re about to take on WDW! I have a very bad feeling about this …
